Blue Demons Host UMass Lowell at Wintrust Arena Thursday

First ever meeting between the two teams set for 6 p.m.
CHICAGO – DePaul women's basketball begins its final stretch of non-conference play Thursday when UMass Lowell visits Wintrust Arena. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT with Alex Cohen and Kenny McReynolds on the call for ESPN+.

Demon Doings
DePaul (2-8, 0-2 BIG EAST) looks to snap its five-game skid Thursday evening, coming off a 102-35 decision at No. 1 UConn last time out. Freshman guard Gina Davorijia netted a career-best eight points versus the Huskies, while sophomore Devin Hagemann added a season-best eight points of her own Sunday afternoon.
Junior guard Kate Novik has finished in double figures in seven of DePaul's first 10 games and averages a team-best 12.9 points per game. She ranks in the top 10 in the BIG EAST in four categories, including blocks, field goals and field-goal percentage.
As a team, the Blue Demons have forced 20 or more turnovers in half of their games this season, averaging 20.0 opponent miscues per game, third-best in the league. DePaul has assisted on 79 percent of its made field goals over the last seven games.
Scouting UMass Lowell
The Riverhawks are 4-5 on the season and are coming off a 60-43 win over New Haven on Saturday afternoon. Senior guard Jaini Edmonds leads the team in scoring at 10.1 points per game, while Sabrina Larsson adds 9.2 points per game and is shooting at a 44-percent clip from long range. UMass Lowell is led by first-year head coach Jon Plefka.
Series Stuff
Thursday marks the first all-time meeting between the two programs. DePaul has played only two games against current America East Conference institutions, NJIT and New Hampshire.
