DePaul Meets No. 25 Michigan State Sunday at Wintrust Arena

Blue Demons face second ranked opponent this season
CHICAGO – DePaul women's basketball is back at Wintrust Arena Sunday, Dec. 14 when No. 25 Michigan State comes to town. Tipoff from the South Loop is set for 4:30 p.m. with the contest televised nationally on FS1.

Demon Doings
DePaul steps into its penultimate non-conference matchup after snapping a five-game skid Thursday evening with a 78-38 victory over UMass Lowell. Kate Novik's triple-double, the eighth in program history and first since 2023, highlighted the victory while a total of four Blue Demons reached double-figure scoring for the first time this season.
Against the River Hawks, graduate forward Michelle Ojo shot 69-percent from the floor and added a career-high 20 points to pace the Blue Demons.
DePaul received 42 points from its reserves on Thursday for its highest bench production of the season while matching its season-best in paint points with 48. The Blue Demons continued to share the ball well, dishing out 25 assists versus UMass Lowell to continue to improve upon its season average of 17.5 per game which ranks 30th in Division I.
For the season, Novik is averaging a team-best 12.8 points, 3.8 assists, 6.6 rebounds and 1.0 block per game.
Scouting Michigan State
25th-ranked Michigan State is 8-1 headed into Sunday's meeting and are coming off its first loss of the season in a 78-64 loss at Wisconsin Dec. 7 in the Big Ten opener. Four Spartans are averaging double figures and are led by Grace VanSlooten's 14.7 points per game. As a team, MSU is sixth in the country in scoring offense with an average of 92.8 points per contest. Robyn Fralik is in her third season at the helm in East Lansing.
Series Stuff
The Blue Demons are in search of their first win in the all-time series against the Spartans, trailing 5-0 in the series history. The two programs have met in the previous two seasons and extended the home-and-home agreement through the 2026-27 season.
A season ago, the Spartans earned an 89-61 victory at Breslin Center.
