
DePaul Travels to #18 Marquette

MILWAUKEE – DePaul men's basketball travels the short trip to Milwaukee this week to face #19 Marquette, Tuesday, Feb. 11. The game is slated to tip off at 7:30 p.m. on Peacock with John Fanta and Tom Crean on the call. Zach Zaidman and Dave Corzine will have the radio broadcast on Sirius XM and DePaul Blue Demons App.
LAST TIME OUT
Tuesday marks the second meeting between the two teams this season after Marquette defeated DePaul in overtime in January. The Golden Eagles won 85-83, marking DePaul's fourth overtime game of the season.
CJ Gunn and Isaiah Rivera each had games of 20 points or more, including 12 points from Rivera in the overtime period. DePaul as a team notched 22 assists, its most since March 6, 2019 against Georgetown, while shooting 51.6 percent as a team from the field.

Marquette leads the all-time series 84-50, including a 47-15 advantage in games at home. DePaul's last win in the series came in 2022 with a March, 91-80 victory.

Marquette (18-6, 9-4 BIG EAST) enters Tuesday's game following losses to three of the top teams in the BIG EAST – UConn, St. John's and Creighton. The Golden Eagles are an impressive 11-2 at home this season, with its only home losses coming in conference action against Xavier and UConn.
The Golden Eagles are led by Kam Jones who is averaging 19.2 points, 6.0 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game. Jones ranks third in the BIG EAST in scoring and leads the league in assist-to-turnover ratio. Following Jones in scoring is David Joplin at 14.4 points. Stevie Mitchell helps lead the Marquette defense that leads the country in turnover margin, with 2.67 steals per game.
