DePaul lands 21 All-BIG EAST selections after earning nine titles, 30 medals
CHICAGO – DePaul track and field left Storrs with 30 medals, nine event titles, and a pair of runner-up trophies in one of its most complete championship weekends to date. The Blue Demons secured second place in both the men's and women's standings for the first time in program history, nearly doubling their indoor medal total of 17 from earlier this year.
All-BIG EAST recognition is awarded to competitors who place in the top three of any individual or relay event at the conference championships. DePaul earned 21 All-Conference honors behind standout efforts in sprints, jumps, throws, distance events, and relays.
Seven individual titles fueled the total, including wins from Demetrius Rolle in the 100m, Sade Miller in the 100m, Darius Brown in the 110m hurdles, and Jaiah Hopf in the triple jump. The Blue Demons swept the 4x100m relays and broke four school records on Saturday alone, both 4x100m squads and program bests from Rolle (100m) and Brown (110m hurdles).
Rolle was named the BIG EAST Most Outstanding Track Performer, while Sade Miller earned Women's High Point Performer honors after scoring 20.5 points across the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay.
