
Four Blue Demons Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

Beaupre, Greene, Nigey and Talbot earn the honor
CHICAGO – Four DePaul softball student-athletes were named to the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team. Kelly Beaupre, Kelly Greene, Bella Nigey and Addison Talbot all earned the award, as announced by CSC on Tuesday afternoon.
All student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and sophomore standing to be eligible. For softball, nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or start in at least 66 percent of the games. All pitchers must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 total innings.
Beaupre, a graduate student and everyday first baseman for the Blue Demons, saw action in all but one game and started 44. The Rancho Palos Verdes, California native compiled a .409 on-base percentage, good for second on the squad, and a .214 batting average. She recorded 22 hits and 20 runs, including one home run. Beaupre is studying to earn her Master of Business Administration this June.
As a junior, Greene made 17 starts and 29 appearances in the circle, the most appearances by any member of the DePaul pitching staff. She logged three complete games and 39 strikeouts, along with a 6.27 ERA. Greene is studying to earn her degree in health science with a concentration in bioscience.
Nigey adds her second CSC Academic All-District award in her second year eligible, after making 28 appearances and starting 22 contests in 2025. She recorded 81 strikeouts and a 3.32 ERA in 114 innings of work, all staff-best marks. Nigey also notched a new career-best with eight strikeouts against Georgetown (May 2). The Bettendorf, Iowa native is studying to earn her degree in psychology with a concentration in human development.
Talbot, a senior from Bourbonnais, Illinois, was a mainstay at right field for the Blue Demons, starting 35 games and appearing in 42. She owned a .264 average at the plate, including 17 runs, 23 hits and four home runs. She is working to earn her degree in psychology this June.
