EUGENE, Oreg. – For the first time since 2012, DePaul track and field will send multiple student-athletes to the NCAA Final Rounds, as Alex Bernstein and Darius Brown will compete among the nation's best on Wednesday, June 11, at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.

Bernstein will compete in the men's hammer throw at 3:30 p.m. CT, with the event held at the south end of the venue and streaming available on ESPN+. The senior is slated for Flight 1 and will receive three attempts. The field is split into two seeded flights, and the top nine overall will advance to the final for three additional throws. The top eight finishers earn First Team All-America honors, while places nine through sixteen receive Second Team recognition.
Brown follows later Wednesday evening in the 110m hurdles semifinals at 7:08 p.m. CT, airing live on ESPN. He will run in Heat 3, Lane 7. Each of the three semifinal heats will advance the top two finishers automatically, along with the next two fastest overall times, to Friday's final at 7:42 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
At the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in College Station, both Blue Demons delivered clutch performances. Bernstein, ranked 20th entering the meet, delivered a 65.36m mark on his final hammer throw attempt to place 11th and punch his first career ticket to the NCAA Finals. Minutes later, Brown powered through the 110m hurdles quarterfinals with a school-record 13.37. He finished seventh overall to secure his second consecutive Outdoor Championships berth.
Already a three-time All-American, Brown enters the meet tied as the most decorated track and field athlete in DePaul history. A fourth All-America finish would place him alone atop the program record books.
