DePaul Returns Home to Host Bowling Green Tuesday

First touch from Wish Field set for 2 p.m.
CHICAGO – DePaul men's soccer opens up a three-match homestand on Tuesday afternoon when Bowling Green visits Wish Field for a non-conference matchup. First touch is set for 2 p.m. with the match carried live on Marquee Sports Network.
Admission to all DePaul soccer matches is free.
Demon Doings
The Blue Demons return to the pitch after a 1-1 draw at Villanova in the BIG EAST opener on Friday, Sept. 20. Redshirt-freshman Tyler Flowers recorded his first collegiate goal in the 63rd minute before the Wildcats clawed back to even the match seven minutes later as the Blue Demons moved to 2-1-5 on the season.
DePaul out shot Villanova 15-12 in the outing as the Blue Demons have outshot opponents in seven of eight matches this season. With an average of 15.5 shots per contest, DePaul leads the BIG EAST and ranks 17th in Division I. The Blue Demons are also earning 6.5 corner kicks per game which is good for 19th nationally. Junior midfielder Noeh Hernandez has a pair of goals in 2025 and paces the Blue Demons with 19 shots in eight appearances. Left back Christian Baumgartner owns five points this fall with a pair of goals and an assist to his credit in addition to 14 shots.
The Blue Demons remain unbeaten at Wish Field this season with a 2-0-4 record.
Scouting Bowling Green
The Falcons travel to Chicago with a 2-3-2 record after a 3-0 loss against Bellarmine last time out. BGSU is 1-2-1 away from home in 2025 with a win over Wright State and a 1-1 draw with then-No. 18 Kentucky. Forwards Trace Terry and Bennett Painter have combined for the Falcons' six goals this season with Terry leading the way with four. Eric Nichols is in his 17th season at the helm of the Bowling Green program. Nichols and his staff welcomed 15 newcomers to the squad in the fall while returning 10 letterwinners.
Series Stuff
Bowling Green leads the all-time series 4-0-2 although the last two meetings in 2022 and 2023 have resulted in scoreless draws.
The Falcons are the third of four Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) teams DePaul has on the 2025 schedule in 2025. The Blue Demons are 0-1-1 against MVC programs with a 1-1 draw against UIC Sept. 4 followed by a 1-0 defeat at Drake Sept. 13. DePaul will travel to take on Bradley Tuesday, Oct. 7.
