Kendall Timme and Jade Dudley-Epps Earn BIG EAST Honors

Timme leads conference in kills and points
CHICAGO – DePaul volleyball's Kendall Timme earned BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week and Jade Dudley-Epps was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon. Timme's selection represents the first time a DePaul freshman has ever earned the honor.
Timme helped the Blue Demons to two victories over conference opponents UConn and Providence, pacing the DePaul offense in both matches, with 20 and 14 kills, respectively. The outside hitter leads the league in kills (4.86 per set) and points (5.21 per set) after opening weekend.
Among Timme's 34 kills was a play that came in at number eight on Sunday's SportsCenter Top 10, a kick over the net to keep the play alive, followed by a kill buried to the back row.
Timme also notched double doubles in both matches, ranking third in digs per set (3.86) in conference play, behind only Hadley Pride of Providence and teammate Eva Hurrle. The Richardson, Texas, native is the only BIG EAST player to rank inside the top three in kills, points and digs, and the only player to rank first in more than one statistical category.
Dudley-Epps sits fourth in the conference with 1.43 blocks per set, contributing a career-high nine blocks against UConn on Friday night. She also registered eight kills in both weekend matches, along with 12 total digs and a service ace. The recognition marks the first weekly honor of her career.
