CHICAGO – DePaul women's tennis heads 10 miles north to Evanston, Illinois, for the Northwestern Hidden Duals from January 9-11. The tournament is the last for the Blue Demons before they begin the 2026 dual season next week.
Northwestern will host both DePaul and Northern Illinois at the Combe Tennis Center, with action beginning at 2 p.m. CT on Friday.
First serve on Saturday, Jan. 10, is set for 11 a.m. CT when DePaul takes on Northwestern in a doubles match.
Sunday features the same opening match for the Blue Demons as Saturday, and they will wrap up the tournament after a singles contest against NIU at 2 p.m. CT.
Senior Hannah Smith looks to continue the hot pace in 2026 after closing the 2025 fall slate on a three-match singles win streak. Junior Sasha Stula also led the team with nine singles victories in the fall.
DePaul returns to the Combe Tennis Center once more this season, facing the Wildcats in dual play on Sunday, February 22.
The dual season opens next week in sunny Arizona, with the Blue Demons facing off against San Diego in Phoenix. The match is set for Sunday, Jan. 18 at 12 p.m. CT. DePaul will be in action a day later, taking on host Grand Canyon at the same time.
Head coach Marisa Arce is 4-2 in season-opening matches at DePaul.
