10/1/2026 4:10:00 PM | WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
DePaul puts its 3-0 league start on the line at D.J. Sokol Arena
OMAHA, Neb. – Riding its best start to a season in 11 years, DePaul volleyball (11-3, 3-0 BIG EAST) travels to Omaha to face RV Creighton (7-7, 2-0 BIG EAST) on Friday at 6 p.m. CT at D.J. Sokol Arena. Friday's match will air on News Channel Nebraska.
"We've been pushing offensive distribution to spread the net and keep more attackers involved, so anyone can heat up during the match," said head coach Marie Zidek. "We'll see what matchups tomorrow brings. Much like last night, we'll have to go point-for-point and let our serve get hot. Sustain the way we're competing and it should be a good match."
LAST TIME OUT
DePaul arrives with momentum after a historic five-set win over Marquette on Wednesday at McGrath-Phillips Arena. The Blue Demons erased a 2-1 deficit to win 3-2 (25-20, 13-25, 17-25, 25-23, 15-12), earning their first win over the Golden Eagles since Nov. 1, 2008 and moving to 3-0 in BIG EAST play for the first time in program history.
Isabela Tavares Salomon powered the comeback with 20 kills on .405 hitting, matching her career high. It was her third straight match hitting .321 or better with at least 12 kills. Jade Dudley-Epps added 13 kills on .417 hitting, and Martina Diana chipped in 10. Leonor Polezzi ran the offense with a season-high 49 assists and led the team with 16 digs and three aces, her fifth straight match with three or more. DePaul won the serving battle 7-4, with Eva Hurrle adding three aces off the bench.
