Blue Demons To Face Power Conference Foes in Midseason Stretch

Women’s tennis (5-4) plays at Northwestern (6-4) then hosts Missouri (6-2)
EVANSTON/CHICAGO – DePaul women's tennis travels to Evanston to take on Northwestern for a Sunday skirmish at 4 PM CT, before welcoming Missouri to XS Tennis Village for a Tuesday tango at 12 PM. This marks the seventh time women's tennis has faced Northwestern (0-6), and the second time facing Mizzou (1-0).
MISSING HOME
DePaul enters Sunday's match at Northwestern with a 1-3 road record, looking to turn the tide away from XS Tennis Village. Junior Sasha Stula, who has anchored the No. 1 court, is 3-1 in road singles play, and looks to maintain her winning ways. Along with Stula, Yasemin Pehlivan and Roberta Sechi are also 2-2 on the road.
LIKE CLOCKWORK
For the past five seasons, DePaul has entered their tenth match of the year with either a 5-4 or 4-5 record, alternating results since a 5-4 start in 21-22. In the two matches that followed, the Blue Demons have gone 6–2 over the last four seasons.

- Northwestern faced, and lost to, the #4, #8, and #15 ranked schools at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in early February, and have since beaten Fordham, 7-0.
- The Wildcats' Mika David Fruchtmann and Neena Feldman are the #70 nationally ranked doubles partnership, and Margot Phanthala is the #43 ranked singles player.
- The 'Cats are 11-5 at home since the start of the 24-25 season.
- Claire Pollard, in her 27th season coaching the team, has taken Northwestern to NCAA Tournament berths in 24 of 26 seasons.
- Since 2020, Northwestern is 9-7 facing other Illinois universities.
MIZZOU MEMORANDUM
- The Tigers are 5-9 away from home since the start of the 24-25 season.
- In Missouri and DePaul's only matchup in women's tennis, DePaul prevailed 9-0 back in March 1991.
- Mizzou is 8-4 against Illinois universities since 2020.
- As of February 20th, the Tigers are currently on a six match winning streak, tied for their longest such streak since 2022.
- Missouri is coached by Silvia Chinellato, the interim head coach as of July 2025.
