DePaul women’s tennis to face St. John’s and Seton Hall
FLUSHING, NY. / SOUTH ORANGE, NJ. – DePaul women's tennis has an eventful weekend of BIG EAST play ahead of it, facing St. John's on Friday and Seton Hall on Saturday. The St. John's match will be played at 11:15 a.m. CT at USTA National Tennis Center, and the Seton Hall bout will take place at Murray Hill Tennis & Fitness at 5 p.m. CT.
CONFERENCE CONTINUITY
DePaul enters the matchup 4-0 in conference battles, equalling the start the Blue Demons achieved last season. DePaul has beaten Creighton, Georgetown, UConn, and Butler by scorelines of 7-0, 4-3, 5-2, and 6-1. In conference play, Japan product Sasha Stula is a perfect 4-0 in singles, all wins coming on court No. 1. Turkish freshman Yasemin Pehlivan and Italian junior Roberta Sechi have also strongly contributed to DePaul's hot start, both earning 4-0 records.
MOMENTUM AWAY FROM HOME
The Blue Demons have struggled outside of the Windy City to begin the year, scraping a 1-4 tally in matches at neutral sites or true away contests.
