Adams immediate impact recognized by coaches association
CHICAGO – DePaul softball sophomore Jolie Adams was tabbed to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Midwest Third Team after a standout campaign in her first season with the Blue Demons.
Adams is DePaul's 70th All-Region honoree and first since the 2024 season. Â
The outfielder made an immediate impact after transferring to DePaul in the fall, posting the highest batting average by a Blue Demon in 10 years. She hit .403 across 134 at-bats to rank fourth in the league and elevated that mark to .408 in conference play. The Schererville, Ind., native totaled a team-best 54 hits, including 12 for extra bases, while driving in 19 runs and scoring a team-high 31 times. She recorded 13 multi-hit games, including five with three or more hits, and was a mainstay in the outfield, starting all 44 games in which she appeared.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes (eight maximum) and voted for the teams. All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2025 NFCA Division I All-America squads.
