DePaul’s Jolie Adams Named to All-BIG EAST Second Team

Sophomore posted best batting average by a Blue Demon in 10 seasons
CHICAGO – DePaul softball sophomore Jolie Adams was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team, the league announced Wednesday morning. The outfielder earned her first regular-season honor in her debut season with the Blue Demons.
Adams made an immediate impact after transferring to DePaul in the fall, posting the highest batting average by a Blue Demon in 10 years. She hit .403 across 134 at-bats to rank fourth in the league and elevated that mark to .408 in conference play. The Schererville, Ind., native totaled a team-best 54 hits, including 12 for extra bases, while driving in 19 runs and scoring a team-high 31 times. She recorded 13 multi-hit games, including five with three or more hits, and was a mainstay in the outfield, starting all 44 games in which she appeared.
In the classroom, Adams is pursuing a degree in psychology in DePaul's College of Science and Health.
