DePaul’s Abby Cahill Earns BIG EAST Honor Roll Mention

Junior libero averaged 4.29 digs per set as DePaul opened league play with a pair of road wins
CHICAGO – DePaul volleyball junior libero Abby Cahill was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the conference office announced Monday.
Cahill anchored the back row as the Blue Demons (10-3, 2-0 BIG EAST) opened conference play with a sweep at Providence and a four-set win at UConn. The Fremont, Ohio, native tallied 30 digs across seven sets, good for 4.29 digs per set, while adding seven assists and three service aces on the weekend. She aided a DePaul defense that limited opponents to a .221 hitting percentage.
Cahill set the tone Friday in DePaul's 3-0 sweep at Providence, posting a team-high 11 digs to go with two assists and an ace.
She followed with a team-high 19 digs Saturday in the Blue Demons' 3-1 victory at UConn, chipping in five assists, two service aces and a kill.
The recognition is the second of Cahill's career and her first of the 2026 season.
The Blue Demons resume conference action Wednesday, Sept. 30, when Marquette visits McGrath-Phillips Arena. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
