Former DePaul Goalie Elena Milam Signs with Seattle Reign FC

2024 Blue Demon grad joins pro team as short-term player replacement
CHICAGO – DePaul class of 2024 alum and goalkeeper Elena Milam signed with Seattle Reign FC as a short-term replacement player through Oct. 9, the team announced.
The Seattle native joins the Reign after spending two USL W League seasons with Salmon Bay FC and leading her team between the posts to a 2026 USL W League Championship. In the championship run, Milam advanced her team with three victories in penalty shootouts, making four penalty saves.
Milam made a splash in her first season with Salmon Bay FC in 2025, picking up nine shutouts and allowing just two goals in 11 appearances in goal. In the interim between seasons, Milam played for professional teams Apollon Ladies FC in Cyprus and VfR Warbeyen overseas in Germany.
Milam's professional opportunity with Seattle Reign FC follows a successful collegiate career at DePaul. The Blue Demon goalkeeper recorded 193 career saves and 10 clean sheets in 45 appearances. Starting every game in 2023 and 2024, Milam finished her time with DePaul ranked sixth in all-time saves.

Seattle Reign FC will head out onto the pitch next on Sept. 25 at 6:30 p.m. CT against Boston Legacy FC at home.
