After a stellar four-year playing career on the DePaul softball team, Allie Braden returns to the program, but this time, as a graduate assistant.
A shortstop from 2011-14, Braden recorded 144 straight starts while being named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and All-BIG EAST Third Team in 2011, and to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team and All-BIG EAST Second Team in 2014.
As a senior, Braden ranked 11th nationally with 0.35 doubles per game and registered third on the team with an average of .363. The Chino, California native helped DePaul to a 13-0 record at home and a BIG EAST Championship in 2014, followed by an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
Braden also was a member of the Blue Demons squad that made it to the NCAA Tournament in 2011 and 2012.
