Indoor:

Qualified for the BIG EAST Championships in the weight throw
Threw a career-best 16.50m in the weight throw on Jan. 26 at the Spire Midwest Open to finish third
Placed fifth at the Blue and Gold Invitational on Dec. 7, logging a personal-best 13.12m in the shot put.

Outdoor:

Finished first in the hammer throw at the Huskie Open on April 20, posting a career-best throw of 52.21m
Finished second in the javelin throw at the Bill Cornell Spring Classic, recording a career-best mark of 61.68m
Also placed second at the Chicagoland Championships in the javelin
Qualified for the BIG EAST Championhips in both the hammer and javelin.

2011-12 (Freshman)
Indoor:

Competed in the shot put at three events
Threw a career-best 12.96m in an eighth-place finish at the Blue and Gold Invitational
Threw 12.81m in a 12th-place finish atthe Notre Dame Invitational
Placed 14th at the Badger Track Classic with a hrow of 12.11m
Competed in the weight throw at six meets
Threw a career-best 13.68m at the Badger Track Classic, where he finished ninth
Placed 11th at the Notre Dame Invitational with a throw of 12.74m.

Outdoor:

Threw a career-best 59.57m in the javelin throw at the BIG EAST Championships, where he finished in second place
Finished second in the javelin throw at the Oliver Nikoloff with a throw of 59.16
Placed second at the Chicagoland Championships with a throw of 47.25m
Placed third at the FSU Relays with a throw of 56.96m
Threw a career-best 46.56m in the hammer throw in a second-place finish at the DePaul Invitational
Placed fourth at the Purdue Open and eighth at the FSU Relays.

High School:

Competed in both the javelin and hammer throw at St. Joseph[apos]s High School in Barrie, Ontario
Placed fourth in the javelin at the 2011 Canadian Junior Championships with a personal-best throw of 61.09 meters
Personal best in the hammer throw has been measured at 46.07 meters.

Personal:

Adam[apos]s older sister, Alanna, is currently a senior on the women[apos]s squad
Son of Atilla and Monique Kovacs
Also has an older brother, Paul, who played basketball at Laurentian
Mother was a track and field athlete at the University of Toronto.
