Matt Hugg first joined the DePaul sports medicine staff in 2022, before being elevated to a full-time role in June 2022. Hugg's primary responsibility is with the Blue Demon's softball program.
Hugg served in a part-time capacity covering all 15 of DePaul's varsity sports from 2020-2022. Hugg graduated with his Bachelor's in Athletic Training from East Stroudsburg University in 2017 before going on to receive his Master's in Kinesiology from Illinois State in 2019.
Prior to working at DePaul, Hugg spent time at Illinois Institute of Technology for the 2019-2020 academic year and was the inaugural Athletic Trainer for Chicago Fire Juniors in 2020-21.
Hugg's treatment areas of interest include manual therapy, lower-back pain and hip treatment.
