Stephanie Baugh joined the DePaul athletics department in August 2021, where she is responsible for DePaul's diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Prior to DePaul, Baugh worked in student-athlete development at Long Beach State. Baugh serves as the sport administrator for DePaul's cross country and track and field program and also serves as a member of DePaul's Senior Leadership Team. Additionally, Baugh is a member of the BIG EAST Diversity, Equity and Inclusion working group and oversees DePaul's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Baugh is also DePaul's NCAA Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID).
At Long Beach State, she served as the Student Affairs professional in athletics, supporting more than 350 athletes with mentoring, student-athlete development programming, and diversity, equity, and inclusion education. Baugh led the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), developed a four-year scaffolded curriculum on holistic topics such as career development and well-being, and created an equity audit to evaluate practices and policies that impact inclusion.
Prior to her role at LBSU, Baugh was a graduate teaching fellow at the University of Oregon. There she restructured the student-athlete development mentoring program and initiated a career development symposium for female student-athletes. She also served as an intern with Women Leaders in College Sports (previously NACWAA), where she pitched and implemented the YouTube video contest celebrating Title IX Trailblazers during the 40th anniversary.
Baugh graduated from University of Kansas with a bachelor of science in Sport Management, where she was a goalkeeper for the women's soccer team. Baugh earned her MBA at Oregon and doctor of education at University of Southern California with a dissertation on “Women and Leadership: The Impact of Collegiate Athletics on Leader Identity Development and Attainment of Leadership Positions”.
