Maddie Beal joined the DePaul volleyball coaching staff in February of 2022. She will work with all aspects of the program including player development, scouting, recuriting, operations and community engagement.
Beal lands in Lincoln Park after spending two seasons as a graduate manager at Ole Miss. While in Oxford, the Rebels made their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2010.
Beal was a four-year letterwinner at Minnesota as a middle blocker/opposite. While in the Twin Cities, Beal earned Academic All-Big 10 honors on three occasions. Beal served as co-captain in her senior season and saw action during the Golden Gophers' NCAA Tournament run to the Final Four during her sophomore campaign (2015), playing in the first four rounds.
Beal joined TCU's beach volleyball squad in 2019 and upon finishing her eligibility returned to Minnesota to coach at Vital Volleyball Club while also assisting as a coach with All-American Volleyball Camps. Beal also served as a member of AmeriCorps, working at a local middle school.
Volleyball excellence and tradition runs in the family as her father, Doug, coached the U.S Men’s National Team to a Gold medal at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984. Doug also served 11 years as Chief Executive Officer of USA Volleyball.
Beal resides in Chicago.
