DePaul Turns Back Bobcats 73-65

ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Delonte Holland had 22 points and Sam Hoskin added 20 as DePaul improved to 4-0 for the first time since 1990 with a 73-65 win over Ohio Tuesday night.
DePaul (4-0) went on a 11-0 run in the first half that started on a Quemont Greer jumper to make it 16-10 and ended on a Joe Tulley 3-pointer to make it 25-10 with 4:04 remaining. Ohio (1-3) went scoreless for over nine minutes during that span.
Joe Tulley hit a 3-pointer to give DePaul a 38-19 lead, which was their largest of the game. Tulley, who is now ninth in Blue Demon history for 3pt. field goals, ended with 12 points.
Ohio made a late comeback when Sonny Johnson hit a 3-pointer to start a 13-3 run with 2:02 remaining in the game to make it 64-52.
Ohio got within five points when Jaivon Harris had a steal and a lay-up to make it 67-62 with 26 seconds remaining.
Holland, who has led the Blue Demons in scoring in each of the first four games and Hoskin, who grabbed eight rebounds as well, went a combined 6-for-6 from the free throw line for DePaul to hold off the Bobcats down the stretch.
Johnson had 22 points and Brandon Hunter had 14 points and 15 rebounds for the Bobcats.
The Blue Demons will hit the road and face their first ranked opponent of the season on Saturday against No. 10 Notre Dame. The game will be televised by WGN-TV in Chicago and broadcast on WSCR (670 AM).
