Bouck and Chouinard Earn All-American Honors

Bouck, a junior from Mokena, Ill., was named the Conference USA Player of the Year after batting .400 in 61 games this season. The first team All-Mideast Region member set the DePaul single-season record with 74 singles and ranks third on the single-season list with 78 hits. She collected 24 steals in 29 attempts and led the team in nine offensive categories. This is the first time Bouck has been named an All-American.
Chouinard, a junior from Fresno, Calif., set Blue Demons single-season records in appearances (46), games started (36), complete games (34), innings pitched (270.0), strikeouts (257) and wins (32). The C-USA Pitcher of the Year finished the season with a 32-6 record and a 0.47 ERA, second best ERA in the NCAA and DePaul history. Chouinard went 4-2 with a 0.61 ERA leading the Demons to the championship game of the NCAA Regional in Minneapolis. This is the second time the first team All-Mideast Region member has been named an All-American. Chouinard was named third team All-American in 2000.
