Coming into this afternoon’s match-ups, DePaul holds the series advantage at 24-14-1. Nine of those wins came at Ivy Field. Last season, DePaul won all three of their meetings, including a 4-1 win at the NCAA Regionals in
DePaul is led by All-Americans, Sarah Martz and Saskia Roberson. Martz leads the team, batting a blistering .412 and has registered 61 hits on the season. She is one hit away from tying the DePaul record of 287 hits recorded by All-American Missy Nowak (1992-1995). Roberson has sent 10 balls over the fence and leads the team with a .743 slugging percentage.
Notre Dame is currently perfect, 12-0, in BIG EAST play and has won seven straight games. The Irish are 39-13 on the season. Notre Dame is led by Megan Ciolli and Heather Booth. Ciolli pilots the offense, batting .398 on the season. At the mound Booth registers a team low 1.33 ERAand is 19-5 on the season.
