Softball Finishes First Day of Competition

“Today was a good first day,” Head Coach Eugene Lenti said. “We defended and pitched well, and the women came through with some timely hits.”
Senior All-American Saskia Roberson had a big evening at the plate against Gardner-Webb, recording two doubles and an RBI. The senior's RBI came on a double in the fifth inning with freshman Sandy Vojik crossing the plate.
Seniors Ashley Parker and Dana Kenney, along with sophomore Kate Sheaks, were all credited with a RBI.
DePaul sophomore pitcher Tracie Adix allowed only two infield hits and struckout eight Gardner-Webb batters.
