Softball Splits in Clearwater

In the afternoons first game the Blue Demons walked away with a 3-2 victory over Florida A&M. It took three runs in the first inning to propel the Blue Demons past Rattlers. DePaul senior Saskia Roberson’s RBI single drove in freshman Linda Secka, who had walked to begin the inning.
Two batters later, junior Sara Bandauski connected on her second double of the season allowing senior Dana Kenney and Roberson to score. Bandauski’s first double came against
The Rattlers rallied in the fourth, on a Kelly Gordon two-run home run. Gordon’s home run came off DePaul starter Tracie Adix. Adix threw four innings and struck out four batters.
Sophomore Megan Huitink recorded the save for the Blue Demons, throwing the final three innings, she struck out two batters.
