Vojik put the Blue Demons on the board in the first inning as her sacrifice to center field sent a tagging Jessica Evans home for the games first run.
Junior Linda Secka ignited DePaul's offense in the second frame as the junior led off with a solo home run to right field. Junior Kate Sheaks and senior Sara Bandauski each singled and Evans walked to load the bases for Vojik. Vojik's first collegiate grand slam soared over the left field fence to put the Blue Demons up 7-0.
DePaul's offense continued to heat up in the third inning as Secka, Sheaks, Bandauski and freshman Marcy Wilus all recorded consecutive singles. Vojik again came up big for the Blue Demons as her double with two outs cleared the bases and put the Blue Demons up 11-0.
The junior pitching duo of Megan Huitink and Tracie Adix combined for the shutout allowing just four Cardinal hits and fanned three batters. Huitink recorded the win and improved to 4-3 on the season.
Nicki Hellmen (1-2) took the loss for the Cardinals.
The last time the Blue Demons posted over 10 runs in a ballgame was April 16, 2005 when they recorded 12 runs against
DePaul had 10 RBI on the day as freshman Amber Patton, Secka, Bandauski and Wilus each recorded an RBI while Vojik added six.
