BIG EAST Announces Women's Basketball TV Schedule

CHICAGO A record-setting total of 101 appearances by BIG EAST programs highlights the league's women's basketball television schedule announced today. DePaul has a total of six regular-season games scheduled starting on Jan. 2 against Tennessee and finishing against Notre Dame on Feb. 24.
The Blue Demon television schedule opens on Jan. 2 against defending NCAA Champion Tennessee on ESPNU. The game is slated for an 8 p.m. start at McGrath Arena. Four days later, the Blue Demons open the BIG EAST schedule with a Sunday afternoon ESPNU-televised game against Pittsburgh. Three of the six televised DePaul games this season are on ESPNU.
DePaul makes the lone BIG EAST TV Network appearance on Jan. 19 at Marquette followed by a Jan. 22 game at Notre Dame on CSTV. In what has become a staple of the women's college basketball season, the Blue Demons will be featured on ESPN's February Frenzy. DePaul takes on Louisville on Feb. 10 at McGrath Arena on ESPN2.
The regular-season television schedule concludes on Feb. 24 against Notre Dame with a 1 p.m. game on ESPNU.
For the second straight season, all 11 games of the BIG EAST Championship will be televised. The BIG EAST TV Network will carry the four first round games on Mar. 8 followed by four quarterfinal games on ESPNU on Mar. 9. The Mar. 10 semifinals will also be carried on ESPNU with the championship game taking its annual Tuesday night slot on ESPN2.
