Jeremiah Kelly Signs National Letter of Intent to Play Basketball at DePaul
CHICAGO Jeremiah Kelly has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at DePaul it was announced today by Blue Demon head coach Jerry Wainwright.
“I certainly feel that Jeremiah is one of the best all-around guards in his class,” Wainwright said. “He has great leadership qualities and the toughness to compete and be successful in big games; that toughness comes from his learning how to play basketball on the playgrounds of Chicago. We are excited to have a local player and his family part of our program at DePaul.”
A Chicago native, Kelly is a 6-1, 165-pound guard who is currently attending American Christian Academy in Philadelphia. Last season he played for Boys to Men Academy in Chicago where he averaged 18 points, six assists and three steals while shooting 42-percent from the floor and 90-percent from the free throw line.
Kelly is ranked as the 17th-best point guard in the nation and the 92nd-best player overall by Rivals.com while Scout.com has him ranked as the nation’s 15th-best point guard. Lindy’s lists Kelly as the 94th-best senior in the nation while The Sporting News has him listed as a High Honorable Mention All-American.
Devin Hill Signs National Letter of Intent to Play Basketball at DePaul
CHICAGO Devin Hill has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at DePaul it was announced today by Blue Demon head coach Jerry Wainwright.
“We are extremely excited about Devin joining our program both as a player and as a person,” Wainwright said. “He is a quality young man, a dedicated student, and a young basketball player of unlimited potential. His length, speed and athleticism gives him the building blocks to be an outstanding Big East player. He will only get better as he adds strength during his college career.”
Hill, a 6-8, 200-pound forward, attends St. Luke’s School in New Canaan, Connecticut where he averaged 14 points and 9.9 rebounds per game while recording 145 blocked shots (6.6 per game) and shooting 63-percent from the field including 49-percent from 3pt. field goal range as a junior.
Hill was named honorable mention All-American by The Sporting News.
