Men's Tennis Sweeps Bradley

PEORIA, Ill. The DePaul men’s tennis team cruised to a 7-0 road victory over intrastate rival Bradley on Friday. The Blue Demons (3-3) won all three doubles matches before sweeping the Braves (0-2) in singles action at the Clubs at River City.
Junior Jose Moncada and sophomore Alasdair Graetz posted an 8-5 win over Evgeny Samoylov and Milos Romic at No. 1 doubles, while sophomore Vanja Grgec and freshman Bartosz Jozwiak notched an 8-0 shutout against Vuk Bolic and Michel Macara-chvili in the No. 2 match. DePaul’s freshman duo of Tim Cadet and Adam Williams gave the Blue Demons an 8-4 victory over Wilder Sampson and Richard Robertson in the third doubles flight.
Moncada improved to 4-2 in dual-season singles play with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Romic in the No. 1 match. Graetz came through with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles, while Grgec topped Macara-chvili, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 3 singles. Jozwiak won his fifth singles match of the dual season as he knocked off Bolic, 6-3, 6-4.
Freshman Ben Hartman remains undefeated in dual-season singles after a 6-3, 6-0 win over Sampson at No. 5. Cadet picked up his first victory of the spring with a 6-2, 6-2 decision over Robertson.
The Blue Demons open their home schedule tomorrow with a pair of duals at Lakeshore Athletic Club. DePaul challenges BIG EAST Conference rival Georgetown at noon before welcoming Valparaiso for a 6 p.m. dual.
