Blue Demons Travel West for Cal Poly Invite

CHICAGO The DePaul golf team takes its Spring Break trip to California for the Cal Poly Invitational on Thursday and Friday. The Blue Demons are set for three rounds over two days of competition at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande, Calif.
The 54-hole tournament will be played on a par 72, 6,818-yard course and features 12 schools from across the United States and Canada. Joining the Blue Demons are host Cal Poly, British Columbia, Cal State Bakersfield, Brown, Cal State Stanislaus, Cal State Monterey Bay, Cal State San Marcos, Golf Academy of Art, Sacramento State, Utah State and Utah Valley State.
Cal Poly has won the last two tournaments with a seven-over score in 2008 and a plus-two finish in 2007. Rounds one and two start with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. PT on Thursday followed by the third round on Friday with split tee times from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. PT.
The Blue Demons return from California and travel to Huntington, W. Va., on April 3-4 for the Marshall Invitational before the adidas Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington, Ind., April 11-12.
