DePaul Golf Honored by GCAA

CHICAGO - Under head coach Betty Kaufmann, the DePaul golf program was recently honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America by being named an All-Academic Team. DePaul was one of 47 programs from across the nation to earn the distinction by maintaining a team grade-point average of at least 3.0.

The Blue Demons were one of four BIG EAST teams on the list joined by Connecticut, Louisville and Seton Hall. East Tennessee State claimed the Academic National Champion award for Division I with the highest team GPA in the country while being joined by six other schools on the President's Special Recognition list for a team GPA of at least 3.5.

DePaul opens the 2009-10 season on Monday, Sept. 21 at the Adams Cup of Newport in Newport, R.I. Following the two-day tournament, the Blue Demons host the annual John Dallio Memorial at Ruffled Feathers GC in Lemont, Ill. on starting Sunday, Sept. 27.
