LEMONT, Ill. - Jan Juelicher and Moritz Ackerhans each finished in the top 10 to pace DePaul at the John Dallio Memorial. As a team, the Blue Demons finished fourth out of 15 teams competing at Ruffled Feathers GC in Lemont.
Juelicher posted birdies on three straight holes on the back nine Sunday to finish with a two-over score of 74. His tournament total of 219 (+3) put him in a tie with Brandon Pena from Florida Gulf Coast for seventh place. The freshman posted his best finish after carding rounds of 73 and 72 on Saturday.
Ackerhans finished in a group in ninth place with a tournament total of 220 (+4) for his first top 10 finish of the season. The sophomore recorded a 76 on his final round after shooting a 71 and 73 on Saturday.
Ben Westley finished in a tie for 27th and he was followed by Russell Budd and Brad Stephens. Budd was tied for 45th and Stephens finished in 60th place. Westley posted a tournament total of 228 (+12) while Budd finished at 235 (+19) and Stephens totaled 243 (+27).
DePaul's three individual players concluded action as well on Sunday with John Pavelko in a tie for 52nd place. Erik Peterson finished in 70th place just ahead of Brad Peterson in 71st place. Pavelko finished the weekend at 238 (+22) while Erik Peterson was at 252 (+36) and Brad Peterson finished at 253 (+37).
Florida Gulf Coast finished just ahead of Missouri to claim the team title. Florida Gulf Coast posted a tournament team score of 873 (+9) while Missouri was three shots behind at 876 (+12). The Blue Demons were fourth at 900 (+36) three shots behind third-place IUPUI. Missouri's Emilio Cuartero finished the weekend as the lone player under par to win individual honors. He posted a three-under tournament total of 213.
DePaul concludes the Fall portion of the season at the Georgetown Intercollegiate on Oct. 17-18. After the trip to the nation's capital, the Spring season starts on Feb. 13-14 at The Match Play in Orlando, Fla.
