Golf Knocks Off Ohio in Match

OAKTIE, S.C. - Prior to starting tournament action at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate on Monday, the DePaul golf team faced off with Ohio University in a head-to-head match on Saturday. The Blue Demons turned in an impressive performance by taking four of the five matches against the Bobcats.
Ben Westley, Charles Boucher, Maximilian Mayer and Moritz Ackerhans each posted victories on Saturday at Chechessee Creek GC in Oaktie, S.C.
Westley defeated Paul Grauer, 4&2, while Boucher posted a victory of 5&3 over Brad Lucas. Mayer won, 4&3, against John Mlynarski and Ackerhans defeated Byron Firestone, 3&2.
Russell Budd nearly made DePaul's day perfect as he went to a playoff before falling on the 19th hole against Chuck Nettles.
The Blue Demons move on to the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate hosted by Francis Marion in Hilton Head, S.C. The action starts at 8:30 a.m. ET each day with 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 holes on Tuesday.
