Westley Leads DePaul Through Two Rounds at Wexford

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Ben Westley sits in a group in 22nd place to lead DePaul after 36 holes at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate. Just two strokes separate four Blue Demon golfers as the team is tied for seventh with the final 18 holes scheduled for Tuesday.
Westley opened the day with a 75 in the first round before totaling a 76 in Monday afternoon's second round. His two-round score of 151 (+7) is a shot ahead of Maximilian Mayer and Moritz Ackerhans in a group in 27th place with an eight-over total of 152. Mayer shot a 77 and 75 while Ackerhans posted back-to-back rounds of 76 on Monday.
Charles Boucher is one of nine players in 32nd place heading into Tuesday's final 18 holes after combining to shoot a nine-over score of 153. Boucher shot a 76 in the morning round before carding a 77 in the afternoon circuit. Russell Budd rounds out the action for the Blue Demons with rounds of 82 and 85 on the first day of action.
Just two individual players are below par after the first two rounds with Indiana's Brant Peaper and Francis Marion's Sebastian Backlund with one-under scores of 143. William and Mary holds the top spot on the team leaderboard with a team score of 587 (+11) to sit two strokes ahead of second-place Indiana and six strokes ahead of Davidson in third place.
DePaul is tied with USC-Aiken in seventh after two rounds of 304 for a team total of 608 (+32). A total of 14 teams are competing at the Wexford Plantation course with the final 18 holes of action starting Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. ET.
