Blue Demons Tally Two Wins on Final Day in Muncie

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The DePaul men's tennis team finished up play at the Ball State Invitational on Sunday afternoon in Muncie, Ind.
Sunday's action featured two consolation championship matches, one of which consisted of two Blue Demons, and a doubles flight championship.
In the Flight A singles consolation final, Filip Dzanko defeated the University of Indianapolis' Nico Kastunowicz, 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (4), to capture the crown. Then, in an all-Blue Demon Flight B consolation title match, Paul John topped Tim Corwin, 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (7).
In the Flight A doubles championship match, John and David Vieyra fell to Illinois State's Muddappa Appanervanda and Rodrigo Oliveira, 8-4.
The Ball State Invitational was DePaul's third fall tournament. The Blue Demons will next hit the courts on Oct. 17 at the ITA Midwest Regional in Columbus, Ohio.
