Midwest Regional Begins Thursday for DePaul Men's Tennis

CHICAGO -- The DePaul men's tennis team resumes its 2014 fall season on Thursday (Oct. 16) morning when four of its members travel to the ITA Midwest Regional in Ann Arbor, Mich.
The five-day tournament, hosted by the University of Michigan, will last from Oct. 16-20.
Nathan de Veer and Alex Galoustian will represent DePaul first on Thursday morning in the Qualifying singles draw. Galoustian will face off against Karl Wangensten (IPFW) and de Veer will play Cleveland State's Ali Shabib. Galoustian and de Veer are playing for the right to compete in the main singles draw, beginning on Friday afternoon (Oct. 18).
Kyle Johnson and Sten Leusink were both selected to play in the regional's main singles bracket.
The Blue Demons will also be active in doubles play; the draws will be released closer to the opening match. Doubles matches begin on Friday (Oct. 17).
