Johnson, Leusink Advance to Doubles Quarterfinals at ITA Midwest Regional

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Kyle Johnson and Sten Leusink led the Blue Demon charge on Saturday afternoon at the ITA Midwest Regional at the University of Michigan.
The Blue Demon duo knocked off Ohio State's Hunter Callahan and Chris Diaz, the No. 8 seed in the regional, by a final score of 8-5 to move into the quarterfinals of the main doubles draw.
Elsewhere in the draw, Alex Galoustian and Nathan de Veer lost an 8-3 battle to Notre Dame's Lawson and Pecor.
In singles play, Leusink fell in the Round of 32 to Northwestern's Sam Shropshire, 6-3, 6-4.
Leusink and Johnson will play tomorrow in the quarterfinals of the doubles draw against the same tandem that knocked out their DePaul teammates today.
