Oct. 21, 2014 BEALLSVILLE, Md. - Jonathan Hewett finished in a tie for 11th place to lead DePaul at the Georgetown Intercollegiate. The tournament was the final event for the Blue Demons of the fall portion of the 2014-15 season.
Hewett carded a 73 following his round of 72 on Monday to finish the tournament in a three-way tie for 11th place at 145 (+3). He was followed by Freddy Thomas and Adrian Halimi in a group in 36th place and Jan Juelicher and James Lelliott in 52nd place. Bobby Thomas finished in a tie for 27th while playing as an individual.
Freddy Thomas (77-74) and Halimi (74-77) finished with a tournament score of 151 (+9) while Juelicher (77-78) and Lelliott (79-76) were at 155 (+13). Bobby Thomas finished with a 78 on Tuesday after a 71 on Monday for a tournament total of 149 (+7).
As a team, DePaul finished 11th out of the 12 teams competing. Toledo claimed the team title and Georgetown's Cole Berman won medalist honors in a one-hold playoff.
DePaul returns to competition on Feb. 9-10 at the Carlton Oaks Invitational in Santee, Calif.
