Track and Field: 17 Named to All-Conference Team

NEW YORK -- Seventeen DePaul student athletes have been named to the 2014 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field All-Conference list, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
The men's track and field squad placed 10 on the team, while seven women landed on the list.
DePaul captured eight individual conference championships last weekend at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships in Philadelphia, Pa. As a team, the men took second while the women placed fourth. In addition, Matt Babicz was named the Men's Most Outstanding Field Performer, Xavier Jones picked up the award for Men's Most Outstanding Track Performer and Sarah Moss was named the Women's Most Outstanding Field Performer.
The Blue Demons ranked fourth in the league in number of athletes placed on the All-Conference list. Their 17 fell short of only Villanova (39), Georgetown (31) and Marquette (24).
