Connolly Tabbed to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK - DePaul softball's Mary Connolly was named to the BIG EAST Conference's Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, following a four-game weekend at the Easton Tournament in Fullerton, Calif.
Over the weekend, Connolly did it all for the Blue Demons as she hit .364 with one home run and one double at the plate. In the circle, the senior threw 14 innings with a 1.50 ERA and five strikeouts.
Connolly's moment of the tournament came in the bottom of the seventh against Boise State when she laced a two-out solo shot to tie the score and send the game into extra innings. DePaul went on to win that game as Connolly hurled all eight innings of action to snag her third win on the mound.
The Winfield, Ill. native's blast against the Broncos propelled Connolly up to third on DePaul's all-time home run list with 35 round-trippers.
