Blue Demons Finish Competition at the River Forest Invitational

OAK PARK- Freshman Conor O'Meara and senior Paul John went undefeated in singles action as the DePaul University men's tennis team wrapped up day three of competition at the River Forest Invitational in Oak Park.
DePaul finished the River Forest Invite with a 19-14 overall record in singles and doubles.
O'Meara competed in Flight D singles, notching a 6-1, 4-6 (10-7) victory over South Dakota State's Elliot Ward.
John defeated Marcelo Dib from UIC 3-6, 7-5 (10-8), while Tim Corwin lost to Kevin Daun from Northern Illinois 6-1, 0-6 (10-6) in Flight C singles.
Kyle Johnson won his match in Flight B singles with a 6-3, 6-4 decision over Carlos Manzanas from Northern Illinois.
In Flight A singles, Sten Leusink and Ivan Divkovic recorded wins with Leusink defeating Ruben Greiner from Western Michigan 6-3, 4-6 (11-9) and Divkovic's taking down UIC's Carl Hedsrom 6-3, 4-6 (11-9). Alex Galoustian fell to Detroit's Patryk Koscielski 6-4, 6-1.
Next weekend, the Blue Demons head to Indiana to compete in the Valparaiso Invitational Sept. 18-20.
