Freddy Thomas Leads DePaul at David Toms Intercollegiate

BATON ROUGE, La. - The DePaul men's golf team sits in 13th place after 36 holes at the David Toms Intercollegiate at LSU's University Club. Freddy Thomas is tied for 10th place heading into Sunday's final round.
Freddy Thomas is one of seven players to card a four-over 148. The Blue Demon junior registered rounds of 75 (+3) and 73 (+1) on Saturday. He recorded a birdie on six holes - with four in the first round and two in the second.
LSU is five under as a team with its top three golfers - Brandon Pierce, Luis Gagne and Nathan Jeasonne - starting the final round at the top of the leader board. The trio of Tigers each combined for a 142 (-2). LSU is five-under (571) as a team and second-place North Texas (593) is plus-17.
The Blue Demons are plus-42 and are within nine strokes of the fifth place Louisiana Tech (609).
James Lelliott is in a group tied for 39th and is 10-over for the tournament. Bobby Thomas is 14 over and in 52nd. Jonathan Hewett and Charlie Spencer-White are in 67th and 68th respectively.
Sunday's final round is a shutgun start slated to begin at 8:30 a.m.
