Halimi Named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week

CHICAGO - DePaul golfer Adrian Halimi was named the BIG EAST Player of the Week on Thursday. The Blue Demon senior led DePaul to a fourth place finish at the FAU Autism Championship last week.
Halimi, carded rounds of 71, 67 and 71 and tied for fifth place. His round of 67 tied a career low and his overall finish was a career best.
During his career, Halimi has finished in the top 10 in four tournaments, including a pair this season. The senior boast a career stroke average of 76.62
Halimi becomes just the fourth DePaul golfer to earn the league's Player of the Week honor since the Blue Demons joined the BIG EAST in 2005-06. Jonathan Hewett was the league's Golfer of the Week in 2015. James Lelliott earned the accolade in 2014 and Moritz Ackerhans was the program's first in 2011.
The Blue Demons are back in action April 4-5 at the Redhawk Invitational in University Place, Wash.
