Softball Travels to No. 19/18 Notre Dame Wednesday

CHICAGO - The DePaul softball team heads to South Bend, Indiana to take on No. 19/18 Notre Dame Wednesday, Apr. 27 at 3 p.m. CT at Melissa Cook Stadium.
The non-conference away matchup marks DePaul's (21-23, 11-3 BIG EAST) first since Mar. 23.
The Blue Demons enter the game after suffering their first BIG EAST series loss of the season last weekend to St. John's. DePaul's one win in the series came in the first game with a 3-0 score.
Nicole Pihl was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her performance in the series. She went 3-for-5 at the plate with a .600 batting average, two home runs and three RBI.
Pihl is now tied for second on the team with Morgan Maize with eight homers this season. Naomi Tellez leads the team with nine and is four away from tying for fifth in the record books with 13 home runs hit in a single season.
No. 19/18 Notre Dame Scout (35-8, 10-5 ACC): Notre Dame returns to its home field after suffering a 2-1 series loss at North Carolina over the weekend. The Fighting Irish boast a 9-1 record and six-game win streak at home.
ND's top performers at the plate, Karley Wester and Ali Wester list batting averages above .400 and have played and started in all 43 games this season.
