Women's Hoops Unveils 2016-17 Schedule

CHICAGO - Looking to build off its trip to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2016, DePaul head coach Doug Bruno announced his team's 2016-17 schedule. The Blue Demons host 15 games at McGrath-Phillips Arena while four contests will be televised on either FS1, FS2 or CBS Sports Network. Every BIG EAST Conference game that is not televised nationally will be broadcast on the BIG EAST Digital Network within FOX Sports GO, the mobile app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content at home or on-the-go.
DePaul begins its season by hosting the Maggie Dixon Classic, Nov. 11-12. The Blue Demons play Appalachian State on Friday and will play either Gardner-Webb or UAB the following day. The Blue Demons close out the month by hosting local rival Northwestern on Nov. 19 and then head to Florida for the Gulf Coast Showcase, Nov. 25-27.
DePaul begins December at 11-time NCAA Champion Connecticut. The game in Storrs will be broadcast on SNY at 6 p.m. (CT). The Blue Demons return to campus for their annual field trip day on Dec. 5, before welcoming rival Notre Dame on Dec. 10. DePaul hits the road for games at Temple (Dec. 15) and Loyola (Dec. 18) before closing out its non-conference schedule with Tennessee-Martin on Dec. 20. DePaul's game at Temple will be broadcast on ESPNU at 8 p.m. on Dec. 15.
The Blue Demons begin BIG EAST play at Georgetown (Dec. 28) and Villanova (Dec. 30). Providence and Creighton visit Lincoln Park on Jan. 2 and 4 with the clash with the Friars airing on CBSSN at 8 p.m. on Jan. 2.
DePaul hits the road for games at Seton Hall (Jan. 8) and St. John's (Jan. 10) before returning to Lincoln Park for three straight home contests -- welcoming Butler (Jan. 13), Xavier (Jan. 15) and Marquette (Jan. 21).
The Blue Demons plays five of their next seven games on the road with FS1 covering DePaul's contest at Creighton on Jan. 27 and FS2 airing its game at Marquette on Feb. 19. Also during that stretch, DePaul has road games at Providence (Jan. 29), at Xavier (Feb. 10) and at Butler (Feb. 12). The Blue Demons host St. Johns and Seton Hall on Feb. 3 and 5, respectively.
DePaul closes out the regular season by hosting Villanova on Feb. 24 and welcome Georgetown for an FS1 contest on Feb. 26.
