Men's Tennis Set for the Purdue Invitational

CHICAGO- The DePaul men's tennis team continues its 2016-17 season this weekend at the Purdue Invitational Sept. 23-25 in West Lafayette, Indiana on the courts of the Schwartz Tennis Center and Purdue Rec Sports Center.
The three-day long tournament begins on Friday with two round of singles and a round of doubles. One round of singles and two rounds of doubles are slated for Saturday, while finals for doubles and singles will be played on Sunday.
Serves begin at 7:30 a.m. CT on Friday and Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday.
DePaul is one of 15 teams participating at the event. Other teams include Ball State, Butler, Cardinal Stritch, Case Western Reserve, Indiana, IUPUI, Marquette, Olivet Nazarene, Southern Illinois, the University of Indianapolis, Southern Indiana, Toledo, Wright State and hosts, Purdue.
Fran Tonejc, Nathan de Veer, Christopher Casati, Conor O'Meara, Yahn Gawrit, Tamas Zador, Tim Corwin and Alex Galoustian will represent the Blue Demons in West Lafayette.
Last weekend at the River Forest Invitational, de Veer and Gawrit recorded second place finishes in their respective brackets.
The Blue Demons finished the Invitational with an overall record of 19-17 in singles and doubles action.
