DePaul Notches Three Wins on Day Two

Record a trio of doubles victories at ITA Midwest Regional Championships
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – All three of DePaul's doubles teams came away with a victory Friday in day two of the ITA Midwest Regional Championships hosted by Michigan.
In the main draw, Keisha Clousing and Hristina Djokic opened up with an 8-3 victory over the Chicago State duo of Iesha Sheperd and Anastasia Goncharova.
That sent Clousing and Djokic onto the second round where they came up short 8-4 to Wisconsin's Alexis Keberle and Anna Makarova.
Marija Jovicic and Aspasia Avgeri began doubles play with an 8-0 loss to Northwestern's Caroline Pozo and Carol Finke.
That was followed by Milica Tesic and Maddie Yergler dropping an 8-1 decision to Clarissa Hand and Hannah McColgan of Northwestern.
Jovicic and Avgeri bounced back in the consolation round with an 8-5 (5) verdict over Zoe Taylor and Maeve Koscielski of Notre Dame.
Tesic and Yergler duplicated that result by downing Akron's Anna Uljanou and Ceci Rosas 8-3.
DePaul senior Clousing returns to the Varsity Tennis Center at Michigan on Saturday in the singles main draw. She will face Samantha Memije of Michigan State.
