DePaul Returns to Wintrust Arena Wednesday Night

Blue Demons looking for fourth straight home win to open 2018-19 season
CHICAGO - DePaul returns to Wintrust Arena on Wednesday night to face the Cleveland State Vikings. The match up is the first of back-to-back home games before the Blue Demons to the trip to the north suburbs for a Dec. 8 game at Northwestern. The Blue Demons and Vikings are scheduled for a 7 p.m. start at Wintrust Arena.
Wednesday's game will be televised on FS2 with Wayne Randazzo (play-by-play) and Dickey Simpkins (analyst) handling the television duties. The game can also be seen online at foxsportsgo.com or the FOX Sports Go app. DePaul's radio tandem of Zach Zaidman (play-by-play) and Dave Corzine (analyst) can be heard on WYLL 1160 AM as well as online on DePaul All-Access at www.depaulbluedemons.com. Cleveland State is 2-5 this season with three straight losses including an 82-79 defeat on Sunday against Purdue Fort Wayne. DePaul head coach Dave Leitao is in his seventh season at DePaul and his fourth since returning to the program after leading the Blue Demons three postseasons in three years from 2002-05. Overall, the 2018-19 campaign is Leitao's 13th as a head coach at the collegiate level. Cleveland State is led by Dennis Felton who is in his second season leading the Vikings and 13th year overall as a collegiate head coach.
Familiar Faces: A pair of familiar faces will be on the visiting team bench Wednesday in Bryan Tibaldi and Algevon Eichelberger. Tibaldi was on Dave Leitao's DePaul staff 2015-17 and Eichelberger played his freshman year at DePaul in 2016-17. He played in 26 games averaging 1.7 points and 1.3 rebounds in 8.2 minutes per game.

- DePaul trailed by three at halftime, but the Irish outscored DePaul by a 56-34 margin in the second half to pull away... Max Strus led DePaul with 15 points and five rebounds... Jalen Coleman-Lands added 12 points and six boards... Jaylen Butz scored 10 with four rebounds and Eli Cain totaled 11 points, four rebounds and four assists.
- DePaul extended its streak to 774 consecutive games with a three-pointer.
