Men's Tennis Ready to Extend Winning Streak

CHICAGO - DePaul men's tennis takes its four-match winning streak to Corpus Christi, Texas where the Blue Demons will face New Mexico State on Friday at the H-E-B Tournament of Champions.
A victory in the 10 a.m. match at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center will advance them to the 5 p.m. semifinals against the winner of UT San Antonio (5-5) and Louisiana (11-6).
The upper bracket features host Texas A&M Corpus Christi (12-1) taking on Troy (2-5) along with South Alabama (4-4) going against UT Rio Grande Valley. The host Roadrunners bring a 12-match winning streak into the weekend.
DePaul (10-3) is coming off a sweep last weekend with a 4-3 win at Illinois State followed by a 4-3 result over Creighton at Normal, Ill. in their BIG EAST Conference debut. Coach Matt Brothers' band has won eight of its last 10 matches.
Luuk Wassenaar is off to an 8-2 start in the dual season and Christopher Casati is 7-4. Tamas Zador is 7-5 followed by Fran Tonejc (5-4) and Tripp Tuff (4-3).
In doubles, Alex Galoustian and Boris Spanjaard have won three in a row and are 6-5 in the dual season. The Tuff/Conor O'Meara tandem is 6-1.
New Mexico State comes to Corpus Christi with a 6-3 mark, winning three in a row and six of its last eight.
